We are a brand new radio station, getting ready to launch its Website on 21st September, and will be available on more platforms than most Web-based stations are, and potentially looking to go digital in the future. We are going to replace XFM, whose owners Global have announced its closure today. Our aim is to champion the unknown and emerging artists/bands and are looking for presenters, producers, and others who are passionate about music and radio to join us.

If you would like to get involved or find out more, please send your details to: help@strangefruitradio.net

Yes and no Tim.

XFM closed down for a week before Radio X was launched. It does still have the "X" in its branding, and a few of the XFM presenters on-air at the weekend, but the music policy has moved away from alternative and indie to indie/classic rock; there is a strong possibility that this will continue in the future, which is why we've started www.strangefruitradio.net, and we're looking for presenters, producers, and other support roles to be filled by people passionate about radio and new, emerging artists/bands. If you want to apply: help@strangefruitradio.net
