Calypso Radio Stations

Calypso is a form of afro caribbean music that developed in trinidad and tobago in the early to mid 20th century and took its influence from african kaiso music and the french creole language and music. It encompasses a range of different genres including benna, mento, ska, spouge and soca music. It is characterised by its topical, witty and often satirical lyrics and carnival style sound which uses instrumentation such as steel drums, latin percussion and guitar amongst others.
