If you look through many of the posts looking for volunteers, they are primarly asking for Presenter's or D.J.'s 'looking to play' nothing too serious, just bring your tunes, a bit of software and a microphone, and away you go - if that's what you're looking for, then read this post no further as it will hold no interest for you, and to back to the Main Index for this board.
This post could arguably be said to be on the wrong board actually, but thought we'd give it a go!
We are a start-up community radio station in the South East of England, that will start out broadcasting online only, hence this advert on this board.
There have been three other attempts over the last few years to start a station in the area, and for various reasons, personnel health issues, proposed backers dropping out, etc., these have failed, and we want to give it another go.
We wish to build a station for the community, to play a mixture of greatest/classic hits, as well and new, up-and-coming bands, together with features and interviews of interest to the local community.
However, this is starting from scratch - there is nothing in place at present. We are therefore looking for any interested parties: Businesses, fund-raisers, production assistants, (eventually, yes!) Presenters, Marketing, P.R. - this is especially important, as are audio producers to create trailers promoting this idea 'on-air'.
