Please confirm - can I Switch from icecast to shoutcast?

I want to use a licensing service that does not support icecast2. It is possible to switch over in the admin panel somewhere - or do I need to create a new account to use shoutcast. Thank you for your response.

Yes unfortunately it is not possible to change an accounts server type once the account has been created. So this would require a new Shoutcast account being created instead.

What is your account username please? We can delete your current Icecast account and then recreate it as a Shoutcast account for you instead.

I got curious and created a second account under chrisjonesc2 .

Could you apply the $5.00 I just paid on chrisjonesc2 to the new Shoutcast server - and make it Version 2
and closeout chrisjonesc2?

I am assuming my logins will be the same.

Can you keep the media intact as well?

Sure no problem, we can transfer that bandwidth over for you.

Yes the login etc will remain the same, however we will have to assign a new port number on the account for you. Yes we can back up and transfer your media files for you as well.
