Respect for Volunteers

I am a retired ex-profession radio announcer, I have been involved in the broadcast industry longer than many people running web stations have been on the earth.

I volunteer on web stations just to keep my mind active and to give myself a hobby and to pass on some of my acquired experience and to have fun.

As I state, web broadcasting is a hobby, so what is it with some broadcasters who want to get people to jump through all sorts of hoops to get them on air. Sorry to me I have proven myself no need to do again now at my age. Remember people are giving up their free time not selling their soul to an employer.

Commercial radio has learnt that people want to hear people not auto DJ systems, the more real people on air the more real people listen.

Maybe you need to look at why you can not attract DJ's to your station.

Remember radio is about community attachment.

Old man rant off

oh by the way you can catch me on CSR weekend breakfast/morning show
