VybzYaad Radio is an online radio station developed in Jamaica. It was found in 2013. It is aimed
to be used as a means to expose the Jamaican culture to the world. The mission of VybzYaad Radio is to expose the Jamaican culture to the world and create a platform for the exposure of Jamaica’s music. The target market that the business seeks to capture is a teenage and young adult audience but also seeks to cater for the other age groups. The competition in the internet radio station area that streams reggae music is a very high one as there are already some fully established stations who have been around for years, the competitive strengths that the company has are; a different “flavor” is been brought to the radio broadcasting market for reggae music, in that there is no other internet only reggae/dancehall radio that has talk shows which in that facilitates in interaction between radio and listeners.
