Yeah okay, it IS a mis-leading subject line, but not entirely inaccurate!
We are a fledging radio station, founded in September last year, dedicated to championing new artists and bands, along with looking back at the classic alternatives. Through intense social media activity, and other promotion, we are building up a small, but steady following.
Bearing this in mind, we are looking for people at all levels who have a real passion for music and radio, with a view to launching a basic, 'skeleton' Programme Schedule immediately after the Glastonbury Festival has finished; the first programme will be looking back at the best musical moments along with airing some new artists and bands who may play the festival in the future.
From this point on we are hoping to maintain a 5/7 programme schedule and would like YOUR help to do so! If you're interested, please E-Mail: help@strangefruitradio.net stating how you would like to get involved. Primarily we are looking for:
1. Presenters/DJ's;
2. Music/Record Librarians;
3. To form a Playlist Group - listening to demos that are sent to us;
3. P.R. marketing/promotion - especially across social media.
