Internet Based Radio Station?

I was wondering if you could possibly assist me here please?

I've been hired by a local Internet based radio station to DJ their Jazz / R&B sections on Monday mornings. I start in about a month.

From what I understand, the system is computer based but can operate off of other formats - I've been told I can use CD.

In order to achieve and carry out my job, I've been told the setting up of a home studio would be desired ideally as we would be operating from our apartments.

I'll be able to advise you in more details once I know more, but have been lead to believe the following components are needed:

1. A Multi Channel Mixing Desk

2. A Broadcast Suitable Microphone

3. Music Monitior Speakers and / or Headphones

4. Audio Interface (for linking CD system / mixing desk to computer) if required

5. Leads

6. Accessories (Leads, Stands etc)

I've put aside £500 - £1000 (about $800 - $1,500) for the equipment.

Can you assist me with this at all? I've never needed a home setup before.
thanks

Are you serious?? No need for all that equpment. You can run sam on your computer with a mixer connected to your mic. Your shows will sound fantastic.
