Shoutcast Directory

I tried to find my station on shoutcast directory and was not listed , If you have a shoutcast server do you get put in the directory. If not how do you get added to the directory.

Hi,

hustlergraham is right, if your genre is out of the shoutcast directory's list, you have to put it into your stream name.

For exemple we broadcast Breakcore, so we have to include it into the stream title to be reach in the shoutcast's directory otherwise we are in "Misc" genre...

As far as genre goes i should be listed as pop or top 40. i type in the station hot 100 radio for all of shoutcast and still cant find it.

Hi,
Connect to your server administration and look into your logfile if you have an error when sending server info to yp.shoutcast.

Maybe you have to restart the server.

[EDIT] OK I found your problem ^^

Actually your station is "Server is currently up and private."

So connect to the control panel, then "Configure server"
then "Server Overrides" and Public Server "Always" then "Update" and RESTART SERVER.
It will deconnect listeners... so do it when they are few listeners![/EDIT]
