Unique Requests for Internet Station

Hello All,
I am trying to help my University develop an internet radio station and could use some help as to where to start. The school has ASCAP and BMI but we can only stream within our network. So what I'm wondering is what services allow private streaming so that the stream can only be available where we want it to be. Also, we're looking at scheduler software that will let us make playlists, cut to live, and also record live. Any suggestions will do. Trying to get a feel for what our options are.

Hi there.

Internet radio streams can be set to private from within a streams encoders settings (Internet Radio Encoder Software). This prevents the stream from being listed on any station directorys.

Our AutoDJ system (Auto DJ) allows for the scheduling of playlists , this can then be de-activated when you wish to stream live. Most stream encoders also allow for the live stream to be recorded at the same time as it is streaming to the server.
