For listening in, WinAmp is the only way to go. I find Media Player hogs too many system resources to use for anything other than watching DVDs.

Have to agree there analoguetrash!.. although Winamp can be buggy although def not as resource hungry as wmp. One i like is VLC personally :)

VLC is our personal favourite. here are a few reasons :

  1. Its codec-less so no need to install lots of pesky codecs.
  2. Its lightweight / fast and uses little resources.
  3. Its allows for radio streams to switch bitrate midstream without disconnecting.
  4. It plays almost anything your throw at it.
  5. It has lots of advanced features including transcoding and more.

real player

i like to use real player but also use the shoutcast application widget on my i pod touch to tune into streams top marks for the widget like real player for the record feature 8)
