Winamp server ip connection problem (ip missing?)

We are using winamp as streaming server and initially we were given an address uk2.internet-radio.com my techie said in order to connect through shoutcast we need to have an ip address where can we find this as we were not given it at the start?

Hi Phoenix,

With Winamp's Shoutcast DSP plugin you do not need to use the IP address specifically. The hostname (uk2.internet-radio.com) will work just fine. We always recommend using the hostname just in case for some reason your servers IP address was to ever change.

But should you ever require your IP address, it can be found in your servers control panel settings under the 'Configure Server' section.
