Reconnection to wifi

My service provider (Virgin) advised me to change my wifi password which I did. When it came to reconfiguring my Roberts wifi Internet Radio, (which is admittedly about 15 years old) when it eventually detected the signal it asked me for the WEP key. I put in the new password but it said it was invalid. So basically I now have a radio that doesn't function.
Has anyone got ideas about how I can get it going again?

Only thing I can think of is, WEP is an older wifi encryption method, most modern routers now use WPA2 by default, check if you can change to WEP on your router to make compatible with the internet radio. You might find you can't use WEP. WPA2 is now used because WEP is relatively easier to hack so no longer secure but better than nothing

Thanks I'll have a look. The only thing is was it was working perfectly until I reset the router to the original password (basically I had forgotten the new one). I can't see why changing the password should confuse the radio.
