Has Interenet Radio Reached its Plateau?

I've been listening to iRadio for years and enjoying the h—- out of it, and yet it appears that its not growing as it should. Software is languishing ... and little really new has come to market. Audio `anything' is less distracting or as compelling as you want it to be. Yet it seems to be languishing and appears to be vastly outclassed by video products that can be so, so dumbing and numbing and attention grabbing. Where's the leadership in the field, the future ? ?

Am I wrong on this? Should things `audio' be relegated to the dust bin along with CDs, tapes, wax and such?
