How can i make than icecast automaticly transmit music when there is no Dj online?

That's my question, i'm using CentOS and i'm thinking in removing the graphic interphase, so any answer who have this point in consideration would be VERY welcome.

Also, i wanna set up the music from a mount point of an external device (External HDD).
of course this means i wanna set the source of the music from the same machine

is it safer & possible doing it from another user? (i.e not icecast or root)
and if it is, how can i set it?

how can i set a playlist to make that?

Any ideas would be welcome, even a partial response, something than answer a part of this would be very welcome.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary hassle when you could just host on a Icecast server with its mountpoints and a Auto DJ feature for when there is no live DJ.

I'm not good with the idea of pay for a server, if i have already one server working and i just wanna add it this feature.
Besides if i buy one, i kinda don't learn anything about it.

But if you can tell me how to do it for free, it would be cool.
