Music source CD's

Hi - looking into setting up Internet radio. Can you use music straight from CD to mp3. Obviously there is the royalty fee & license to pay for but is it OK from that as a source as most CDs clearly state not for broadcast etc?

Thanks very new to this

Don't take what I say here as gospel as I'm no expert.

I believe that music ripped from cd to mp3 on ya desktop can be used as it would then be covered by the license.

Hopefully someone can clarify whether I am correct or not.

We presume that music taken from a CD and encoded into Mp3 for internet radio playback would still be covered by a license. However, we cannot clarify that this information is fully correct.

We suggest that if you are UK based you should contact the PPL UK for confirmation on this. 8)
