Questions about playing music.

I want to start a station that plays music from local bands. If I read correctly if I get permission from the artists then I can play their music without getting a license right? Also if I do end up somehow making some income via advertisements and whatnot is there anything I must do so I stay legit and don't get in trouble with some organization?

Hi KillPhilVol1. If you have permission from the artists then there shouldn't be any problem. You should be ok with revenue generation too but it might be worth getting some more info to be sure.

Perhaps some of our other users could enlighten us on this ?
