Script request for Playout Automation

I am looking for some simple scripts to run a daily rotation and fortnightly schedule using software from RadioDJ | Free Radio Automation Software or mAirList - Radio Automation Software.

Basically I have pre-recorded programming that needs to be triggered by an "event" or series of events linked together.
e.g. On the hour a news bulletin,
3 minutes past the hour the "Programme/Show"
Station ID/jingle every 15 minutes

Interspersed between 1, 2 or 3 hour "shows" featuring specialised music or other topics would be automated playout from the music library.

Has anybody tried this? Or can anybody assist?

Longer term this will need to incorporate remote log in for "live" presenters.
(If you can help, you will be offered your own timeslot once all is up and running)

At present my time is limited which restricts my learning capacity for creating the scripts. I figure that if starting with a simple template it can later be altered as demands evolve.

Suggestions/thoughts/comments are welcome.

Many thanks

You should be able to do that using the Playlist controls and settings, making a different playlist for each. I did have the Auto DJ enabled on my account, but it has been off for a while due to lack of use. I'd be more than happy to help you get what you want though!!

My email is hoddzdj [at] gmail [dot] com if you want to email me so I ca get access to your panel. Of course, if you don't trust me then I can probably be able to work it out from screen shots.

Thanks Ben,
I will drop you a line when I get back to base (and some time!!) from srdrockradio-at-yahoo-dot-co-dot-uk.

Ideally I want to have the scheduling fairly robust before we start to promote a service to advertisers etc.
How familiar are you with these automation/live assist softwares?
Mairlist has been favoured in the past but carries a fee to purchase the latest version - that is where RadioDJ starts to look attractive.
Both can be configured using edcast standalone or a winamp shoutcast plug in.
Both appear to support the principle that if I get the events scheduled corrrectly I can upload specifically named files and then forget about things until the next upload session.

I either need idiot proof :) step by step instructions or a ready made template I can adapt (again idiot friendly would be good :)).
It is also setting the base database that causes me stress as I can't seem to get the time to work through the initial set up to link to the music files as currently stored.

Hopefully I will be able to hook you up with some suitable access via some remote management to the playout PC.

I started out for the station I work with as being only the "finance" guy - handling funds and approving expenses!!!!!
This might explain my slowness in utilising the software....;)

I hope that hasn't put you off.....

Many thanks
Ian
