A1Radio is an online radio station playing the best music with fun chat, requests, shout-outs and more!
We aim to play great music that YOU want to listen to. We are planning lots more live shows in the future, and are actively looking for people interested in joining us.
Our base is in Peterborough but we broadcast to the whole world! If you are interested in joining us, you don't have to be anywhere near us, all you need is a reasonable broadband connection. We will help you do the rest!!
History of A1Radio
A1Radio was started in mid 2011 and started as a one-show (Saturday night) event. This quickly moved on to 24-hour streaming but the technology proved to be not up to it. We changed streaming hosts to our current provider which proved to be more reliable. Very soon after we upgraded, we launched 24-hour streaming and have done ever since.
Our first website was made with a John Bull printing set and a potato! However our resident QuizKing - Gary has single-handedly made our current website, so big thanks go out to him.
