Update genre ??

Ok so ive started setting up my station but cant see how to set genres atm its saying pop i need it to be trance, how can this be done ??

Hey I LOVE your Avatar DJD. Also, @Support must this be done by you manually? How many can I choose? I see many stations with multiple genres. We are a variety music station playing INSIDE video games. We do have some of the game's music in rotation, so 'video game music' is one of quite a few genres we air that encompass works by our community. Please advise.

Ok I see, you would probably be best setting your genres in that case as 'Variety', 'Game' and also even 'Soundtracks'. You can set up to 5 genres.

Unfortunately there is a bit of a bug with users setting their own genres in the latest version of Centovacast at the moment, this will be fixed in the next update though. So for now, we'll have to set them manually for you.

Alternatively you could always register an authhash for your stream with shoutcast.com to permanently set your genres in a fixed state https://www.internet-radio.com/comm...he-“authhash”-for-shoutcast-v2-servers.21409/

Please update our format/genres to Rock, Dance, Instrumental, Variety, Game. How long does it take for this to update?

Hi Alleine,

I've just noticed that you only stream live. The genre settings are only for when using the AutoDJ feature. So in your case you will need to set the genres in your live stream encoder softwares settings.

Hi, I know this is a bit old, but its basically what I want to understand. How do I change my OWN Genres? Can someone tell me how it's done?

I've enabled raw editing of the config files for your account. Inside the liquidsoap config you will find a line with genre= in there. Edit that to the genre you require and click the disk icon to save. Then stop and start your AutoDJ.

Sorry but where is the "liquid soap" config?

In your control panel go to "Settings". Bottom right you have "Raw configuration" click that. Choose "liquidsoap" Configuration File".

Find the part that says genre="OLD SKOOL and NEW Trance and Dance n Disco" and change the part between the quotes to the genre you require. Save with the disk icon then stop and start your autoDJ or restart your server for the new genre to take effect.

Alternatively let me know what genre you would like and I'm happy to do it for you.
