We take a trip to the record shop for another Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza on this new episode of Boppin' With Beth! The spotlight is on The Rolling Stones' album "Aftermath" from 1966. The US version is the one highlighted. We dig into the whole album with 2 full songs and snippets of the others. Hear covers of tunes from the US version by Vanessa Carlton, Susanna Hoffs, Hollis Brown, Darrell Bath, Bloodshot Bill, Swamp Rats and Them. We take a trip to the record shop for another Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza on this episode of Boppin' With Beth! This week, we highlight the 1965 album titled "The Ventures A Go-Go" by The Ventures. This killer album is full of covers and originals by the band. We'll hear the original versions of some of the songs they cover by The Rolling Stones, The Kingsmen, Ritchie Valens, Sam The Sham & The Pharoahs, Thee Midniters and Chris Kenner. There's 2 full tracks of a couple of originals they wrote and snippets of all the others. Nicole from The Surfrajettes is the guest on Beth's Lightning Round and there's a track from them plus one of The Ventures tracks played is her favorite! I've got a surf song from Southern Culture On The Skids in Hang Ten. It's the 200th episode of Boppin' With Beth AND it features one of my favorite albums too!! To celebrate we take a trip to the record shop for another fun Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza. The focus this hour is on the awesome album by Phil Keaggy titled "Phil Keaggy And Sunday's Child" released on Myrrh and A&M in 1988. This retro sounding album has stood the test of time! Hear 2 full tracks from the release as well as snippets of all the other tunes from the album. There's songs from some of Phil's influences including Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Bloomfield, Cream, Jeff Beck, Ricky Nelson and The Platters. There's a song from Glass Harp featuring Phil and he's featured on tunes with his pals Russ Taff and Randy Stonehill too! Beth's Bop Of The Week is a new instrumental solo release from Greg Townson.
