This show's all about exploring the global melting pot, sharing new jazz-influenced music from around the world. From Japanese funk to Canadian soul, from Portuguese Fado to Taureg Desert Blues, the global music scene owes a lot to jazz. With our own jazz explosion happening right now in the UK, what better time to look outward and explore the influence of jazz in global music genres, with an hour of brand new releases every week.

New music from around the world in this episode: a look at India's DIY music community; an afro-tropical release from Ibiza's Guts; Sudan meets the US with Sinkane; the second single from Anatolian psych band Altin Gun; and a rundown of UK jazz including the Samadhi Quintet, Noya Rao, and Ezra Collective (who have just announced their debut album launch). A review of the Love Supreme festival launch event last weekend with a track from french / afro-caribbean fusion group Dowdelin. German producer Wolf Muller meets Egypt's the Nile Project for a live EP.
