About New Wave Music

New wave is a general term used for pop and rock music from the 1970s to the 1980s which had its links to punk rock. Originally the genre was comparable in certain aspects to punk rock, but it would later go on to incorporate elements of electronic music, pop, disco and goth rock. New wave was one of the commercially successful sounds of the 1980s.
