Hard house (or uk hard house / nrg) is a form of dance music that emerged in uk during the 1990s. It is generally faster than normal house music with tempos ranging from around 150bpm. Stylistically it is very similar to hardstyle music although it has less of an aggressive sound and places more emphasis on bouncier basslines and melodic synth riffs.
